Claims 101 will inform you of the latest developments at L&I and, even more importantly, teach you what you need to do when you have a claim. Your active participation in resolving claim issues will ultimately lower your risk rating and save your company money. Each GRIP participant is required to attend Claims 101 at least once. Repeat attendance is welcome and encouraged. Class size is limited so reserve your spot now! Continental breakfast or lunch are provided with in-person classes.

GRIP is designed to make accidents less likely to occur in the first place. Our on-staff safety professionals are construction industry experts available to assist current and prospective GRIP participants as they design and maintain safe work sites and practices.

Free Services for GRIP Participants

Current GRIP participants can schedule an appointment with a GRIP safety staff member today for assistance with a variety of safety concerns, including:

  • Site Safety Review: An on-site review of your work site or facility and any existing accident prevention programs
  • Job Hazard Analysis: Assistance in your efforts to reduce accidents and injuries through an up-front assessment of hazards that exist in the workplace
  • Accident Prevention Program Documents: Sample documents for you to build your company’s accident prevention and response plans
  • Safety presentations and wellness events: Presentation materials for your safety meetings or help with the coordination of wellness events, such as health fairs and blood pressure checks
